In January 2022, the commendation ceremony of “Special/Outstanding Contribution Unit in Application of HIFU Bed” and “Excellent Unit in Clinical Application of HIFU” sponsored by State Key Laboratory of Ultrasonic Medical Engineering in 2021 was successfully concluded in Chongqing National Engineering Research Center for Ultrasonic Medicine. 

Three hospitals won the award of “Special Contribution Unit for Clinical Application of HIFU in 2021.” The units and contributions are as follows:In 2021, the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University ranked first in the world in focused ultrasound ablation treatment volume; Changsha City Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital set a record of 551 cases in the first year, and Suining City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine pioneered the deep combination of focused ultrasound and traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, Professor Xue Min of the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University won the “HIFU Academic Promotion Ambassador” award. 

Ten units won the award of “Outstanding Contribution Unit in Clinical Application of HIFU in 2021.” The ranking of units and treatment volume is as follows:The Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, Chongqing Haifu Hospital, Suining City Hospital, Mianyang City Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University, Changsha City Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Shenzhen Maternal and Child Health Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College and Nanchong City Central Hospital.

Seven institutions won the Excellent Unit Award for Clinical Application of HIFU, and their annual treatment volume exceeded 400 cases. The ranking and hospital name were as follows:Jiangxi Province Maternal and Child Health Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College, Shanghai City First Maternal and Infant Health Hospital, Zigong City Fourth People's Hospital, the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, Foshan City Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Qingdao City Women and Children's Hospital.
